This morning we finished the new burroughing owl habitat. After lots of shoveling were finally able to cover the 3 individual underground burroughs and also set the entrances of the burrough tunnels.
I also set up a cam recorder to monitor any activities at any of the entrances, so that we can get a heads up.
I know that most people will say, why put 3 burroughs together, if the 🦉 are not keen in living/sharing with other burroughing owls. But one picture of about 8 burroughing owl hudled on a small tree, which I recently saw on the internet, really goes against that whole train of tought.
So as part of my research into the local burroughing owl, I want to give them the opportunity to live well how do I say this “as one happy family”? 🙃❤️🙏
It might take a few years to get the offspring needed to populate all 3 undeeground burroughs, but only time will tell.
Lets see
In the meantime, attached some pictures …
