During the last dry season it seamed that the bird population really suffered due to lack of watering holes or spots. So based on some recommendations  we build a small watering hole/fountain for the birds under on of the many kwihi trees. It short time, it has become a favorite watering spot for a lot of different birds, bees and other small animals. At any time during the day, in early morning hours as well as before sunset, it seams like the birds are in line to get their beaks wet or take a little dip in the top part of the fountain to refresh from the hot sun. We set up a separate water timer for the pond and make sure it always has enough fresh water for a nice afternoon dip for our feathery visitors. After many years, we now even started seeing bunnies and iguanas on the property. Hope the iguanas don’t start reproducing like at the hotels, cause our vegetable garden has been really suffering from pilferage, which i now suspect are those green iguanas …. 🤔 Anyways, they are all welcome .. 😊👍 Obviously the bird pond still needs a few finishing touches, but they don’t seem to mind..
